Collection and Use of Personal Information
At Jeju Olle Foundation (hereafter referred to as “Jeju Olle”), we are committed to maintaining strong and meaningful privacy protections for members. This Privacy Policy is designed to protect personal information, legitimate rights and interests of our members and resolve issue and conflicts pertaining to personal information.

This Policy is effective from the enforcement date and any addition, deletion or revision in accordance with laws and policies will be notified via general announcements on the website no later than seven days prior to enforcement.

Article 1 Purpose of Processing Personal Information

Jeju Olle as outlined below will collect and process personal information.

(1) Fulfillment of the service contract and billing

Content delivery, purchase and payment, product delivery or shipping to billing address, authorization for transactions (including payment) and other financial services

(2) Membership management

Identification for membership service, prevention of illegal use of services by malicious member, prevention of unauthorized use, confirmation of the intention to register, age verification, civil affair processing including complaints, notification delivery

(3) Marketing and advertising

Development and specialization of new product (service), advertising content delivery, provision and advertising of services based on demographic factors, monitoring access frequency, utilization of statistics on service use among members

Article 2 Personal Information Processed

Jeju Olle will collect and process personal information for the purpose of membership subscription, service (including donation) subscription and cancellation and content development.

(1) Member

① General: [mandatory] name, password, cell phone number, address, email address
② Individual membership: [mandatory] birthdate, gender
③ Corporate membership: [mandatory] corporate name, department or division, corporate phone number, corporate address
④Children aged 14 or younger: [mandatory] information of a legal guardian (name of the guardian and verified phone number)

(2) Scope of personal information collected from the website

Usage log, access log, cookie, access IP address, payment information and data

Article 3 Duration of Processing and Retention of Personal Information

eju Olle retains personal information in accordance with the Act, or processes and holds personal information within the period of use, as agreed upon when personal information is collected from the information subject.
The personal information processing and retention period is as follows.

(1) According to the [Act on the Protection of Consumers in Electronic Commerce, etc.]

① Record of supply of contract or subscription withdrawal: 5 years
② Record of payment or goods: 5 years
③ Record of consumer complaints or dispute handling: 3 years

(2) According to the [Communications Secret Protection Act]

Login Data (website access record): 3 months

Article 4 Destruction/Disposal of Personal Information

After the purpose of collecting and processing personal information has been fulfilled, Jeju Olle will promptly destroy all personal information that is no longer needed.
Personal information will be destroyed and disposed in the following ways:

(1) Destruction Procedures

① Jeju Olle retains and processes personal information of a member as long as the member utilizes our service as a registered website subscriber.
② When the member requests cancellation of membership or is disqualified from membership, Jeju Olle immediately destroys (disposes) personally identifiable information, in a way by no means reproducible or usable, and leaves only the minimum information for cancellation statistics management.
③ In case of a member registered as a product owner, Jeju Olle will retain the product number and only the minimum personal information matching the product number to assure customer support and assistance.
④ After fulfilling the purposes of collecting and processing personal information, Jeju Olle destroys member’s personal information without delay.
⑤ After fulfilling the purposes of collecting and processing personal information, Jeju Olle, if determined necessary to retain the information according to laws and regulations including commercial law, may retain the information. The personal information is retained for storing purposes only.

(2) Destruction method

Any print-out version of personal information will be shredded using a shredder or incinerated. Any personal information stored in the form of electronic file will be destroyed using a technical method which makes the records irreproducible.

Article 5. Provision of personal information to third parties

We will not provide any third parties with personal information except when one of the following conditions is satisfied:

(1) Consent has been obtained from the member
(2) Disclosure or provision of personal information is legally mandated for compliance with the laws and regulations or requested by an investigative agency in accordance with the procedure and method set forth by applicable laws for investigation purpose.

※ With consent from members, Jeju Olle may entrust personal information to the below third party.

Article 6 Delegation of Personal Information Processing

Jeju Olle delegates the processing of personal information to the following service providers.

To assure personal information is handled with the utmost security and privacy, Jeju Olle defines certain management conditions and closely monitors the performance of the delegate in terms of the handling of personal information.

Article 7 Rights of Members and Legal Guardians and the Method of Exercising Thereof

Members may perform their rights and obligations

(1) Request to browse personal information
(2) Request for correction of information incorrectly recorded
(3) Request for deletion
(4) Request for discontinuance of personal information processing

① Website
A member can browse, revise and delete (withdraw) his/her personal information any time on the website. To browse and revise personal information, a member shall verify himself/herself on the “Modify Personal Information” menu and make changes at discretion. If a member refuses to maintain membership on the Jeju Olle website, he/she may withdraw on the website.
② Email, written correspondence and phone
In case a member is incapable of requesting to browse, revise, delete or suspend the usage of personal information on the website, the member may practice rights by filling and sending [Enclosed form No. 8 of the Act on Personal Information Protection] via written correspondence, email or fax.
③ The information subject may practice his/her rights through an agent such as a legal representative or an entrustee and Jeju Olle, upon receipt of the information subject’s request to practice rights, may request more documents such as identification card, copy of resident registration and copy of family registration certificate for the purpose of verifying identity of the member or agent.

Article 8 Matters Concerning the Installation, Operation and Refusal of Automatic Personal Information Collection Device

(1) Jeju Olle uses “cookies” that store and call in member information from time to time in order to provide personalized services to members.
(2) “Cookies” are small data units that are automatically stored on member’s computers at accessing the Jeju Olle website.
(3) “Cookies” are not stored on the computer’s hard disk and are automatically deleted when the member logs out and closes the browser.
(4) The member may choose to allow “cookies” or not.
(5) You may disable cookies

- The member, by setting the options in the web browser, can allow all cookies or through a check every time a cookie is saved or refused to save all the cookies. When uses refuse to save cookies, they may have difficulties in using some services that need login and please be assured all liabilities lie with the member in this case.

Article 9 Inquiries on Personal Information

Jeju Olle is responsible for handling personal information in general and designates a department/division and a person in charge of personal information management as follows for handling complaints and resolving damages related to the handling of personal information.

The information subject may contact the Personal Information Protection Officer or the department in charge of personal information protection with any matter related to personal information protection, complaints and damage relief. Jeju Olle will answer and process the information subject’s inquiries without delay.
