Total Distance : 15.7Km  Total Time : 4-5hour   Difficulty :

You breathe with the allure of the mid-mountainous areas of Jeju. It starts at Seogwipo Bus Terminal through the mid-mountainous areas and finishes at Jeju Olle Tourist Center. You will find Halla-san(mountain) rising majestically to the north and Jeju’s southern sea and the entirety of Seogwipo to the south. The scenery of the Jungsangan surrounded by cliffs and natural warm-temperate forest are striking. You can also pass by rice fields within a large crater, quite rare in Jeju. It is a lot of fun to hike along the ridge between rice fields.

How to find the Starting Point
How to find the way back from the Finishing Point

The Oreum(small extinct volcanoe) surrounds the new town of Seogwipo City. It offers an open view Mara-do(island) to Jigwi-do(island), enabling you to capture the entire scenery of the southern coast and the city. Great place to see the night city view.

Hanon Crater

It is Asia's largest maar crater. It is considered to be live ecology museum holding biological records of tens and thousands of years. Spring water comes out the crater and makes it possible to grow rice, unlike elsewhere in Jeju. ‘Hanon’ means a huge rice field.

Geolmae Ecological Park

Geolmae Ecological Park at the top of Cheonjiyeon Falls opened to protect the waterfall and preserve the surrounding environment-friendly ecosystem. There are aquatic plant arboretum, wetland plant arboretum, Japanese apricot flower and wildflower arboretum, wild-bird pen, and wooden walk path. ‘Gulme’ means a ditch that gets stuffed too often to be filled at last. There always used to be water here and was a rice field in the past.
